Claire joined Short Richardson and Forth in 2008 shortly after she qualified and has been a stalwart member of the firm’s property team ever since.
Claire undertakes both commercial and residential property matters, many of which are for longstanding clients of the firm. On the commercial side, Claire advises landlords and tenants on lease terms and associated issues and in the sale and purchase of commercial premises and land. She also deals with all aspects of residential property, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and lease extensions.
“Property transactions are usually very close to any client’s heart so it is most important to listen to any needs and concerns at the outset and tackle any potential issues head on to ensure the smoothest possible journey to completion. When the transaction completes I always get a great feeling of achievement and happiness for the client.”
Out of work I am kept very busy by my two young children so I am always out and about in the local area and Northumberland trying to keep them entertained and out of mischief. When I do find any spare time I love to cook or bake. Not one to follow recipes I prefer to just throw ingredients in as I go along and see what (hopefully) tasty morsels I can concoct.
